First of all apologies for my absence. I am okay, I have just been empty of words as I explained in a recent post. I think (hope) that the words are beginning to return to me now, but I’m due to go on holiday, so I won’t be back to regular posting until I after I return from that. Let’s Bring Back the 80’s!

I went for a haircut today (It happens about twice a year, whether I need it or not.)  For some reason, the lady who does my hair, while she has never, ever given me a bad haircut, is obsessed with finishing off her cuts by giving me BIG, 1980’s style, poofy curls, which I immediately wash out the second I get back home.  I was never a fan of big hair, but there were some 1980’s looks that I WOULD like to bring back.  The 80’s were quirky, fun, and most of all, colorful.

The Banana Clip

Personally, I loved the banana clip.  It took “ponytail” to a whole new level, making one’s hair resemble not just a pony’s tail, but a luxuriously groomed horse’s mane.  I actually still own one, but I realize that wearing it would automatically get me nominated by my daughter and her best friend for…
