30 day Blog Challenge – Day 8

One good thing that happened today – Went to visit my good friend Suzi to see her new kitten, Pan, and chill in her hot tub πŸ˜€

Book Challenge – An unpopular book you believe should be a Best-Seller, hmmm not sure how ‘popular’ it actually was/is but I think ‘Gods behaving Badly’ by Marie Phillips is an awesome book that should be read more widely ;D

Photo Challenge – A picture of you on your favorite holiday, it’s got to be when we went to PGL France (Chateau de Grande Romaine) in August 2010, we all had a great time and the kids made some lovely new friends πŸ™‚

The kids at PGL

Film Challenge – A film staring your favourite actor, The Transporter, starring the yummy Jason Statham ;P

Status Challenge – The nicest thing you have done – gosh these are tough! I’m nice most of the time and do lots of nice things… I guess maybe all the charity work I’ve done which has raised lots of money for some charities and helped a lot of people with other charities would be the nicest thing I think, some may say that I’ve done even nicer things than that but I don’t know…

Song Challenge – a song that you know all the words to, humph I know all the words to ‘lots’ of songs! You have to if you’re gonna sing them! lol ok I choose this one, my audition piece for X-factor 2010 ‘Something Inside’ by Labi Siffre

30 Day Blog Challenge – Day 7

One good thing that happened today – I got my haircut and styled by my good friend Ellie, it looks great for my night on the town now πŸ˜€

Song Challenge – a song that reminds you of a certain event – After missing out on seeing them as a teenager I finally got to see NKOTB on thier ‘come back’ tour following the release of this song! Donnie mmmm – much better than my teen crush Jordan! hehe

Status Challenge – The most wicked thing you ever did – I’m not really a bad person, I guess ‘cheating’ in a relationship is probably the wickedest thing I’ve done…?

Photo Challenge – A picture of your favorite sport – another difficult one, not really a sports fan. I guess I would have to say (to watch, not participate) World’s Strongest Man (does that count!?) as it’s the only ‘sporting’ activity I make sure I follow, I watch every year without fail! πŸ˜‰

Worlds Strongest Man

Book Challenge – A Book that’s hard to read… hmmm I think the book I struggled to get through most of all would be ‘Never Say Die’ by Tess Gerritson, I read it on recommendation by a friend who thought it would be my kind of book, it wasn’t quite the kind of thing I really like. I also struggle with authors who are overly descriptive, with not enough ‘action’ in their writing – I mean just how much detail do you need to be able to ‘picture’ the kitchen in a characters home, and unless it’s relevant to the storyline, does it really matter?! I can imagine what a kitchen looks like, I see enough of them! lmao ;P

Film Challenge – The scariest film you’ve ever seen, well it doesn’t seem as scary now but at the time it came out it was so different from anything else ‘scary’ at the time that has to count – ‘Hellraiser’

Hell raiser - Pinhead

30 Day blog Challenge – Day 6

One good thing that happened today – My good friend Jan came to visit for the second time this week, girly fun and gossip in the hot tub for the rest of the evening πŸ˜€

Status Challenge – A favorite line from a song – Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how (from Baz Luhrman – Sunscreen) although there are many other great lines in this one too!

Photo Challenge – A picture of your best friend from the opposite gender… guess that would have to be Steve Bosworth HFx (you look better with short hair btw!)

Steve

Book Challenge – A Book that makes you cry – I don’t recall ever having cried reading a book… hmmm guess the closest, which was upsetting (though no actual tears) was ‘I choose to Live‘ by Sabine Dardenne. the true story of a girls escape from a peadophile captor.

Film Challenge – A film from your childhood – The Dark Crystal, the best film I ever saw when I was little, still watch it often now its wicked! πŸ˜€

Song Challenge – a song that reminds you of somewhere – Bournville College trip to Futuroscope (France) in 2000 πŸ™‚

30 Day Blog Challenge – Day 5

One good thing that happened today – The weather was lovely today (I know it’s not much of a ‘good thing’ but I enjoyed it, so it was a good thing for me!)

Song challenge – a song that reminds you of someone – reminds me of someone who is driving me crazy right now…

Status Challenge – A favorite line from a movie – “If he’s dead can we go back to pheonix?” (Lost Boys)

Book Challenge – A Non-fiction book that you actually enjoyed – see now I enjoy non-fiction just as much as fiction, I think one of my favourites has to be Gray’s Anatomy by Henry Gray (The actual medical text, not some tripe about the TV show…)

Photo Challenge – A picture of you’re favorite place

Stonehenge

Film Challenge – A film that makes you cry – ohh god, it has to be Watership Down! Still makes me cry even now… poor bunnies! (Yes, I’m sad!! lmao)

30 Day Blog Challenge – Day 4

One good thing that happened today – I spent the day in CT and overcame my fear of needles, or rather watching them being inserted after watching at least 6 venflons being inserted today and not fainting once I am convinced my problem with them is only due to the emotional connection – if they are being inserted into me or one of my children! phew, was worried that it may be a problem with my intended career aspirations, after all I’d never make it as a doctor if I couldn’t stick needles in people!! But now I know I’ll be okay with that πŸ˜€ yippee! πŸ˜€

Status Challenge – Your funniest joke, ohh dear is it really sad that I don’t really know any funny jokes? I had to pinch this one…it is good though! lmao “Passwords are like underwear. Change yours often, don’t share with friends, be mysterious and don’t leave them lying around.”

Song Challenge – a song that makes you sad – Savage Garden, to the moon and back…

Book Challenge – A Book that reminds you of home – Get Me Out of Here by Rachel Reiland, a stark reminder of the troubles and challenges I have overcome in the words of another sufferer…

Photo Challenge – Day 4) A picture of someone you admire – A strong, powerful woman Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher

Film Challenge – Your favourite Sci-fi Film – As if there is any other choice!? STAR WARS of course… can I have all of them? If I have to choose one then I controversially choose Episode 2 (Amidala is captivating, I prefer her over Leia anyday! ;P)
