ROW80 2012 Round 2 – Dull

There is only one word for it – dull…

Everything is dull…

My life is dull,
My writing is dull,

Everything is dull…

Yes, as you can see I’m not impressed at the moment. As normal I am plodding along getting things done, not in a hyper-productive sense, not quite lazy now either. Just normal levels, but boy is that dull…

Nothing interesting to report as you can see with my goals…

My goal here is just to do ‘something’ with my WIP’s during each week – Does opening the files and reading my own work count?

Daily posts, minimal advance scheduling, dull posts…

Doing a Beta reading and reading World War Z by Max Brooks. Insurgent by Virginia Roth has just arrived so I will be reading that next

Still volunteering, still jewellery making, still losing pool matches…

Working on my big final assignment for the OU

Applying for jobs unsuccessfully…

Booked a holiday to Croatia – hopefully that will inspire me!? lol

Until next week – although I doubt I will have anything more interesting to share then either…

How has the week been for you?

Have you got any news to share?

  1. Hey, Croatia sounds good. I wouldn’t call that dull. Actually I wouldn’t call any holiday dull. Sorry about the rest of it. I’d tell you to hang in there but if I were you I’d reach through your monitor and slap me across the face. So I’ll say I know the feeling. 🙂

    • Hi Cate, Thanks, indeed the holiday to Croatia is the only none dull thing going on, unless you count the pool match this week too, which also wasn’t dull! lol 😉

  2. Ah, sorry to hear your feeling like that.

Not too hot myself as you’ll se in my next (and previous) posts. Life is tough.

    Keep up the fight Sharon.

    • Thanks Quiet, I have seen how you are struggling at the moment 😦 I’m just so bored and dull, I need some fun to happen and liven things up a bit! lol xx

  3. In the words of Forrest Gump’s mother, “Life is like a box of chocolates” sometimes you pick out a dull one, but that makes the fancy one that much fancier, If every day were exciting, exciting would become dull. We need dull. We need white rice, plain potatoes, etc. to appreciate when we have more going on.

    Call it restfull.

  4. just wanted to say that a couple of years ago (way before BPD diagnoses) i had some pretty full on counselling – there was a period where i felt like this. It felt like a big pit of nothing.I was wondering if this is what happens before we start to build our own solid identity? Unfortunately I went back to old ways of filling the void (really had no self awareness at the time). I’m still hopeful about’recovery’ (i hate that word) especially since my diagnoses has now enabled me to get more specialist support. Really hope that as you piece yourself together you feel less empty xxx

    • It comes and goes, currently I think I’m in a ‘filling the void’ phase again, nothing seems to fulfil or interest me much, even my writing and reading have declined! Thanks for sharing 🙂 xx
